How to cope with this “Mother Nature you’re drunk” weather

As I sit down to write this blog post, I cannot help but glance at the window and shiver. The temperature outside reads a chilly 28°F and all I can think is, ‘What is going on with the weather?’ Living in Ohio, I know we are no strangers to crazy weather patterns, but this winter has been especially crazy. Just last week, we were playing outside, with temperatures in the 70s and not a cloud in sight. And now, I find myself bundled up in my thickest coat, longing for spring and warmer days.

I’m not sure where you’re from, dear reader, but I’m sure you can relate to the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with living in a place where the weather can change at the drop of a hat in a few days. But fear not, for I have a few ideas on how we can turn this current ‘horrible coldness’ into something we can smile about.

First and foremost, let’s embrace the opportunity to have a guilt-free binge watch session on Netflix. I mean, what better way to pass the time while we wait for the weather to warm up? Grab your comfiest blanket, snuggle up on the couch and indulge in your favorite shows or movies. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Speaking of being comfy, now is the perfect time to break out your most comfortable clothes. No need to worry about looking stylish or put-together, just throw on your favorite sweats and oversized sweater without feeling an ounce of guilt. After all, who’s going to judge you when the temperatures are this low?

Next, it’s time to treat ourselves to a delicious dinner. Whether you prefer to whip up your favorite homemade dish or order in from your go-to restaurant, take this opportunity to indulge in your favorite foods. After all, nothing warms the soul like a scrumptious meal on a cold day.

Finally, as we wait for the weather to hopefully take a turn for the better, let’s take everything with a grain of salt. It can be easy to let the cold and dreary days get us down, but let’s try to stay positive and have faith that warmer days are just around the corner. In the meantime, let’s pray for milder temperatures in the week to come.

No matter where you are from, it seems like the weather has been unpredictable and ever-changing. But instead of letting it get us down, let’s take this as an opportunity to cozy up and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time. Whether it’s binging on our favorite shows or indulging in comfort food, let’s make the most of this crazy weather and find ways to smile through it all. And who knows, maybe the next time we look out the window, the sun will be shining and the temperatures will be warm once again. And if all else fails, have a drink. Cheers !
