Our Antique Adventure: Starting a Family Business
Hello, friends! We’re excited to share the launch of our antique booth at Rustic Birdcage in Columbiana, Ohio, and our new spot at Big Daddy Antiques and Collectibles in Berlin Center. Plus, check out our online store, VintageTreasures1955.com, where you can find unique vintage collectibles and crafts made by my talented 11-year-old daughter, Ania. This journey has turned into a thrilling adventure filled with joy, love, and creativity!
Embracing Our Passion for Antiques
Our journey into the world of antiques feels like a natural extension of our long-standing love for treasure hunting. My husband and I have always shared a fascination for vintage finds, exploring flea markets and antique shops together. This passion inspired the name of our business, Vintage Treasures 1955; I’ve always called those special finds “vintage treasures” whenever I stumbled upon something I’d been searching for at thrift stores. The “1955” pays homage to our beloved blue Ford truck, affectionately named Betty, which has been a part of our adventures since the beginning. We even rent her out to photographers through our other business, Jim’s Vintage Truck Rental (check us out on Facebook!), adding another layer to our love for vintage. Now, as we embark on this new venture with our antique booths, it’s exciting to share our passion with others and create lasting memories as a family. Starting our Facebook page Vintage Treasures1955 to document our adventures has allowed us to connect with fellow antique enthusiasts and showcase our discoveries, making this experience even more special.
